Content creator Koku Lwanga has broken her silence following a public statement by her estranged husband, Daddie Marto, refuting claims that he was burdened financially.

In a detailed response, Lwanga revealed that her mother retired and provided Marto with KSh2.6 million and an additional KSh300,000, while her father sent $2,000 and previously gave him KSh500,000 as support. She said that her parents’ generosity extended beyond finances, including her mother sending groceries for a year during a period when Marto faced professional setbacks.

The content creator disputed Marto’s portrayal of her mother’s house as the source of his financial woes, stating that mismanagement and a con by an unscrupulous contractor led to losses. “Unfortunately you got conned by the unscrupulous construction person you took and lots of money was lost. We literally begged you with the remaining money to not complete the rest of the house just the functional parts, mom to move in and we complete it polepole,” Lwanga said. She also disclosed handing over KSh380,000 from an ad campaign to help offset a loan Marto had taken.

The content creator also addressed their separation, revealing that Marto moved out without notice, leaving her blindsided. She recounted how he gradually removed household items, including a TV, even after their agreement to reassess the relationship after three months. “You claimed we’d maintain the children’s space, yet you brought a new partner into the shared environment,” she stated.
