MP MOHAMMED ALI BACK IN PARLIAMENT AFTER UNDERGOING THREE SURGERIES
Member of Parliament for Nyali Constituency, Mohammed Ali has officially resumed his parliamentary duties following a nine-month medical leave.
Ali took to social media to thank his supporters, “Feeling blessed to be back at work after 9 months on medical leave. While I still have about 4-6 months of physiotherapy to attain full knee recovery, I thank Allah for being able to resume work officially today. To all those who prayed for me and wished me well on this difficult journey, I see you and I am grateful for you!”
The legislator, who underwent three major knee surgeries between December 2024 and May 2025, shared his ordeal, revealing that his health struggles began after sustaining a knee injury during the EAC-Inter Parliamentary Games in Mombasa.
The injury led to three surgeries two performed in Kenya and one in India as well as months of intensive rehabilitation. “I was very sick; I almost lost my life,” Ali disclosed in a recent interview. “When you are sick, other things can wait; my health comes first. I have started walking, and with another four to six months of physiotherapy, I hope to fully recover by December.”
