TIKTOKER HON. MOSQUITO ARRESTED IN MOMBASA OVER INCITEMENT AGAINST PUBLIC ORDER

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has confirmed the arrest of Shedrack Omondi Okindo, popularly known as Hon. Mosquito, in connection with a viral TikTok video containing alleged incitement to violence and threats against public order.

The controversial video, circulated on August 1, 2025, sparked widespread concern among the public and prompted immediate action from law enforcement. Detectives tracked Okindo to a hideout in Miritini, Mombasa County, where he was apprehended.

A search of his residence uncovered: Two pairs of tactical combat fatigues, A notebook with writings referencing “guerrilla resistance tactics” and “Justice to all freedom heroes”, Three mobile phones and assorted documents linked to the Justice Direction Party.

Okindo is currently in police custody undergoing processing as he awaits his court appearance.
