VICTOR WANYAMA & SERAH NDANU BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WITH KENYAN FOOTBALL IS MONEY
Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama and celebrated actress Serah Teshna Ndanu have weighed in on Kenya’s recent football wins, sayingthe team’s improved performance is because of the financial incentive by president Ruto.
The comments follow Kenya’s stunning 1-0 victory over football giants Morocco, I”n a social media video Ndanu said, “I think you’re going to agree with me that the problem with Kenyan football is the money. Look at the transformation since these players were promised 1 million for every win and half a million for a draw – they’re performing exceptionally.”
Echoing her sentiments, Wanyama added, “Very true because, you know, money is everything. Motivation is a big thing in football, and nothing can motivate players other than money. We’ve got a world class coach in Benni McCarthy, so you can see what he has done since the beginning of his campaign and also taking over the team.”
When asked about the Kenyan’s win against Morocco, Wanyama added, “I expected a very tough game from Morocco, and it was a tough game. The 12 month training and the tactics from the coach paid off.”
