ABABU NAMWAMBA’S MOTHER AGATHA MAINA LAID TO REST
Former CS Ababu Namwamba’s mother, Agatha Maina was laid to rest on August 30 at her home in Port Victoria. The burial service was attended by family, friends, and leaders from across the country. They gathered to celebrate her life and offer comfort to the Namwamba family.
In a show of support, a delegation from the Kenya Mission to the United Nations in Nairobi (UNON & UNEP), led by Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Stephen Lorete, joined Namwamba for a private holy mass at his Karen residence earlier in the week.

Actor Ken Ambani, who attended the funeral, remembered Mama Agatha as a precious jewel and a pillar of faith, love, and grace. “She lived with unwavering devotion to God, walking in prayer and kindness, and leaving behind a legacy of compassion, humility, and strength. Her departure is a deep loss to her family, friends, and community, but we find comfort in knowing that she has returned to her eternal home in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served.”
Adding, “Though her physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit and the values she imparted will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in eternal peace mama 🙏🏽”
