BONIFACE MWANGI LAUNCHES FUNDRAISING DRIVE FOR 2027 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi has made a direct appeal to the public for support, launching a fundraising initiative to fuel his presidential campaign for the 2027 general election.

Mwangi announced a dedicated Buy goods number for citizens to contribute directly to his campaign. “I’m looking for money for my campaign. I have a Buy Goods number: 5010215. Donate, and I will account for your money,” Mwangi stated.

Mwangi announced his presidential bid in August 2025, “Our leadership has failed us in numerous ways. You pay taxes expecting service, or you’re supposed to pay bribes to get that same service. So as we stand here, our country must be taken back into our hands.”

The photojournalist who gained international recognition for documenting post-election violence, has spent years on the front lines, speaking out against human rights violations and systemic corruption in Kenya. He previously ran unsuccessfully for parliament in 2017 on an anti-corruption platform.
