CEBBIE KOKS RECOUNTS NARROW ESCAPE FROM HIJACKING ATTEMPT

Senior Protocol Officer at the Office of The Deputy President, Cebbie Nyasego, popularly known as Cebbie Koks, has shared a harrowing account of a hijacking attempt she narrowly escaped a few hours ago.

The incident occurred as Cebbie was returning to her car which was parked near other vehicles, she noted an unusual quietness in the area. Trusting her instincts, she immediately locked her car doors and switched on the interior lights. “Almost immediately, I saw a man collapse on the sidewalk, falling hard into the road and appearing to be in severe distress,” she recounted. “My first human instinct was to rush out and offer assistance.”

However, the situation quickly turned suspicious when a second man appeared suddenly from behind her vehicle. This individual rushed to help of the first person, removing his sweater to fan him before dragging him away from the road. “That’s when my gut told me something was off. I decided to wait,” she stated. “Yet I couldn’t shake the thought: “Could this be a setup? Another way to hijack me? In that split second, I chose safety. I drove off.” Adding, “Eeh! You want to rob bereaved!”
