‘I FULLY SURRENDERED’ ACTOR FOI WAMBUI GETS BAPTISED

Actor Foi Wambui was baptised on Sunday, August 31st, 2025, marking a public declaration of her renewed faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.

The baptism, conducted through full immersion in accordance with Biblical tradition, represents the culmination of a spiritual journey for Wambui. While she first gave her life to Christ 12 years ago in high school, she describes her walk with God as having “its ups and downs,” with seasons of drifting.

“Joy is from the Lord and He really overwhelmed me with it,” Wambui shared. “I was so excited that I couldn’t wait for the pastor to finish for me to say ‘I do’.”

Over the past three years, Wambui felt a drawing back to her faith. Her return culminated in a full surrender on her bedroom floor in January 2024, followed by a formal re-dedication of her life on February 3rd, 2025. She views her baptism as the “best next step of faith and obedience.” 

“When you truly experience God’s love, the natural response is obedience, born from a deep reverence for who He is,” Wambui stated. “Like a wedding ring, this is my public declaration of my faith, my justification, and my commitment to a lifelong journey of sanctification with Christ. I ended August in the best way and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect time.”
