‘I HAVE BEEN SOBER FOR 5 YEARS’ BABU OWINO REVEALS

Embakasi East member of parliament, Babu Owino, has issued a statement to clarify a recently viral photo of him and President’s son Nick Ruto clubbing. 

The photograph, which shows the MP in a social setting, began circulating widely on various social media platforms, leading to speculation of their closeness. Babu clarified stating the image was taken in 2018,  “Let me clarify this for the record. The last time I drank alcohol was on the 17th of January 2020. The photo below was taken in 2018. I have been sober for the past 5 years.”

He further stated that he is now a changed man, “Everyone has a past, and Babu Owino is no exception.” Adding, “The Babu of today is not the same person as the one from 8 years ago; he is now more focused than ever. I will transform the lives of Nairobians and Kenyans the way I transformed my Life.”
