Safaricom’s new 5G router comes with an inbuilt battery, specifically designed to provide Kenyan households and businesses with uninterrupted internet connectivity during power outages.

The Baicells 5G indoor router directly addresses the challenge of frequent power disruptions, offering up to three hours of continuous power on its internal battery. This ensures users can maintain reliable internet for work, studying, streaming, and entertainment without interruption.

The router is now available at Safaricom shops countrywide, Masoko, and at participating Quickmart supermarkets. Loyal customers can redeem Bonga Points equivalent to KES 9,996 to acquire the device.

Safaricom’s 5G Wi-Fi offers flexible plans to suit various needs, including a basic 10Mbps plan for Ksh 2,999 and an ultra-fast 250Mbps plan for Ksh 10,000. Customers can switch plans at any time, with unused data from the previous plan rolled over if the plan is still valid within 30 days.

To ensure connectivity in every corner of the home, users can also purchase the Huawei EchoLife WiFi Extender, which comes with a free Huawei gift, for Ksh 3,999 or equivalent to 13,329 Bonga Points. To get connected, customers can dial *400*4# or visit a Safaricom outlet.
