Popular radio host Alex Mwakideu has denied allegations that he intentionally set up Pastor Robert Burale during a recent viral interview with his sister, Rozinah Mwakideu.

The interview, which sparked discussions online, featured Rozinah revealing personal details about her past relationship with the pastor, including stories about their honeymoon and her attempts to leave the relationship. In a statement, Mwakideu refuted claims that he was privy to these details beforehand, stating, “The only thing I knew was him borrowing my sister money. The story about the honeymoon and her trying to leave him three times I didn’t know. I was very sad.

Mwakideu also said that he learned most of the information in real-time. “Most of the things I just learned on the show as other people did,” he explained. He also clarified that the interview was not his initial idea, noting, “I actually didn’t want to host my sister, but people requested for her to come to the show after I did an interview with Pastor Burale. Even Burale himself said he hopes I would interview her to share her side.”

Mwakideu confirmed that Pastor Burale has been in communication with him since the interview aired but maintained he will not reveal the private nature of their conversations.
