COURT REJECTS BURALE’S APPLICATION TO REMOVE ROZINAH MWAKIDEU VIRAL INTERVIEW

A Nairobi court has declined Pastor Robert Burale’s request to have a controversial interview by his ex-wife Rozina Mwakideu pulled down and deleted from Alex Mwakideu’s YouTube channel.

While the court barred the Mwakideu sibling from making any new posts about the controversial interview, it declined Burale’s request to have the existing video removed from online platforms.

The interview, titled My Biggest Mistake Was Marrying Robert Burale, published on October 4, has garnered over 815,000 views. In the lawsuit, Pastor Burale is seeking Ksh20 million in damages.

Milimani Commercial Chief Magistrate Thomas Nzyoki clarified that the interim injunction only prevents future publication and does not apply to content already circulating online. The case is scheduled for a mention on February 25, 2026.
