FENA GITU CONSIDERED FOR THE 68TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS
Award-winning Kenyan singer, songwriter, and performer Fena Gitu has officially been listed on the ballot for consideration at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, marking a historic milestone in her career and for East African music on the global stage.
Fena’s acclaimed single “Pretty Girl” has been submitted in the coveted Song of the Year category, placing her among international heavyweights in one of the most competitive global music honours.
In addition, Fena Gitu has also earned entries in the R&B, Rap & Spoken Word Poetry categories: Best Melodic Rap Performance – Pretty Girl and Best Melodic Rap Performance – Repeat (Fena Gitu Featuring Djprodluigi)
Speaking on the recognition, Fena expressed gratitude to her fans, team and the African music community, “This moment is bigger than me. It’s about opening doors for African voices to be heard on the world stage. I’m truly honored and excited to see Kenyan music celebrated in this way.”
