GBV TASKFORCE HEAD NANCY BARAZA PRAISES STEP-SON BIEN’S MUSIC

Kenya’s first female Deputy Chief Justice and current Chairperson of the National Taskforce on Gender Based Violence,  Nancy Baraza, has expressed her pride for her step-son, musician Bien-Aime Alusa Baraza disclosing she is his biggest fan. 

“I listen to Bien Alusa Baraza of Sauti Sol very much. He sings well and I’m very, very proud of his music. He is a wonderful musician,” stated Ms. Baraza. “I love his music and his dancing.”

Her musical appreciation, however, extends far beyond her step-son’s afro-pop hits. She revealed her eclectic taste in music, listing Congolese legends like Franco, Nigerian contemporary sounds, and gospel music among her favourites. “I also listen to church music, I love music,” she added.

Ms. Baraza is also the mother of Yuri Baraza, a well-known sports presenter at Capital FM and step mother to actor Melvin Alusa.
