‘I’M NOT MAD’ DJ ARIKA ADDRESSES VIRAL VIDEO

Popular Kenyan street deejay Arika, has directly addressed and dismissed rumours about his mental state after a viral video caused concern among fans.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, showed the renowned DJ in the Ruai area, leading some netizens to falsely speculate that he was struggling or had “gone mad.” In a swift response, DJ Arika clarified the situation, assuring the public that he is of sound mind, focused on his work, and remains a proud resident of Ruai.

In his statement, Arika said that the rumours were being spread by haters, “This is called persecution. So mtu akidai nimekreki, stay down. There will be rewards for everything.”

Arika, who is celebrated for his connection to the everyday Kenyans, proudly claimed his roots in the community. “Mimi ni mtu wa Ruai by the way, nimekaa apa kutoka 2000. I am popular kwa watu wa mathree, madonda wote, masenke, magushodo, mabukla,” he stated.

He concluded his message by stating his commitment to his craft, asserting that his work in the studio is serious business and not a joke.
