Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has honoured the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga by unveiling several murals of the statesman inside his private mansion

The tribute comes days after the rapper was visibly devastated by the news of Odinga’s passing. Following the announcement of Odinga’s death, a grief-stricken Khaligraph took to social media, writing, “1 of 1, forever my Hero 🕊️🕊️🕊️ Hii imenimaliza, since yesterday, Ive Still been trying to process this, Baba will forever be my hero, Rest Baba, Rest🙏🏾🙏🏾”

The unveiling of the murals serves as a lasting testament to this respect, transforming the rapper’s personal space into a shrine for his hero. Raila was laid to rest on Sunday, October 19, at his ancestral home in Kang’o ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County.

Khaligraph’s tribute coincides with the government’s own formal recognition of the late leader’s legacy. During the national Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kitui, President William Ruto awarded Odinga Kenya’s highest civilian honour, the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (C.G.H.).
