KISUMU GOVERNOR’S DAUGHTER ZAWADI NYONG’O COMES OUT AS GAY, INTRODUCES WIFE

Zawadi Nyong’o, daughter of Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o, has publicly come out as gay, introducing her wife, Rachel, and their daughter Amaya to the world.

The revelation was made on her Instagram, where she shared a photograph of her new family with the caption, “I’m done hiding. #ThisIsUs #MiFamilia #lovewins🌈.” The post depicts a joyful image of Zawadi, her wife, and their daughter, celebrating their union and family unit.

In a subsequent post on her Instagram Story, Nyong’o shared on the personal significance of the moment. “I’ve been too afraid to do this for way too long! But this morning I woke up and said enough! This has been a loooong time coming!” she wrote. 

She acknowledged her fear, stating, “This is probably the scariest thing I’ve ever done,” before declaring, “It’s freedom time! Pray for me and us fam!… I give thanks to my beautiful wife Rachel and daughter in love Amaya.”
