OVERWHELMING CROWDS FORCE GOVERNMENT TO MOVE PUBLIC VIEWING TO KASARANI STADIUM

Due to an overwhelming public turnout of mourners, the venue for the public viewing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s body has been changed. The event has been moved from Parliament Buildings to the larger Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party issued a statement confirming the change, citing the “surge in the number of mourners” as the reason. The scheduled procession to the Lee Funeral Home has been cancelled.

Authorities are advising the public to expect heavy traffic along Thika Road as the procession moves toward the new venue. The viewing will still begin at 12 noon as originally planned.
