‘I LOVE MY FATHERS’ BETTY BAYO’S DAUGHTER ASKS PUBLIC TO STOP BULLYING HER DAD
Days after the passing and burial of celebrated gospel artist Betty Bayo, her daughter, Sky Victor, has issued a public appeal for compassion, urging the public and online communities to refrain from hateful comments and allow the family to grieve in peace.
The appeal comes as a response to the influx of negative comments on social media directed at the family, particularly concerning the relationships between Bayo, her former partner Pastor Victor Kanyari, and husband Hiram Gitau .
In a statement, Sky opened up on hurt caused by the online trolls. “When you pick up your phone to just write something in that comment section, please don’t bother. Some of you write so many hurtful things that don’t even matter,” she stated. “Betty Bayo just died. Think about the hurtful things you’re saying online. Do not comment, just look and just scroll. It’s not that hard.”
She added, “My mom received so much hate in her past life. This is the time that she’s receiving love at this time of her death.” Sky addressed the speculation surrounding her family, “I still love both of my fathers. I’m not picking sides. I love them both,” she added.
“Life will continue as same as it was, whether she’s here or not. Don’t assume there are so many things that are happening behind the cameras. So please let our mom rest in peace… Don’t bully my dad. You see small information and assume anything.”
