KENYAN WOMAN ARRESTED AT JKIA WITH COCAINE WORTH SH3.6 MILLION
Operation by officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) has led to the seizure of 912 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of Sh3.65 million and the arrest of a suspected drug courier at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The suspect, identified as Muli Ayan Ndunge, 34, was arrested upon her arrival from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, following intelligence received by the unit. “Our officers, acting on precise intelligence, discreetly monitored the suspect after she landed. She was escorted to our facilities for further processing, where the investigation unfolded,” said a spokesperson for the unit.
During observation, the suspect expelled a total of 28 pellets of cocaine. The initial recovery of 14 pellets was followed by a second batch of 14, confirming the intelligence that she was carrying the illicit substance internally.

A medical examination and X-ray scan confirmed that her abdomen was clear of any further contraband, providing evidence for the case. The seized narcotics, with a purity level yet to be fully determined, have a market value of approximately Sh3,650,960.
Ndunge is currently in custody as detectives finalise their investigations and prepare to arraign her in court to face charges related to the trafficking of narcotic drugs.
