MACHACHARI ACTRESS MAMA BAHA MOURNS SISTER GRACE MBURU’S DEATH
The entertainment industry is in mourning following the passing of Grace Mburu, the actress fondly remembered by fans as Mama Bob from the hit TV series Machachari.
The sad news was confirmed on Tuesday by her sister, fellow actress Wanjiku Mburu, who shared the announcement on her TikTok account. In an initial post, Wanjiku posted a series of photos of the two sisters and a caption: “And then? Rest, my dear sister, rest.”
In a different post, Wanjiku shared an emotional video revealing that Grace spent her final days in South Africa. The footage, shot in Mooi River, showed Wanjiku laying flowers in her sister’s memory. “South Africa, to be specific Mooi River, and this is where my sister had her last moment,” she said. “And I’m just here to lay these flowers for her. In loving memory, Grace Wangui Mburu.”
Grace Mburu became a household name through her role on the Citizen TV drama Machachari. The show, which premiered in 2010. She played the role of Mama Bob, who formed a close-knit trio with friends Baha (Tyler Mbaya) and Govi (Malik Lemmy).
