OBURU & RUTH ODINGA MOURN THE PASSING OF SISTER BERYL ACHIENG 

The Odinga family has announced the sudden passing of Beryl Achieng Odinga.

Beryl was the daughter of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, and his wife, Mary Ajuma Oginga. She was a mother to her children, Ami, Chizi and Taurai. She is survived by her siblings: Senator Oburu Oginga, the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, Akinyi Wenwa, and Hon. Ruth Odinga, as well as the entire Odinga family. She was a dear sister-in-law to Dr. Anne Oburu, Dr. Canon Ida Odinga, Hon. Tabu Osewe and Judy Oburu.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Ruth shared, “While we are deeply saddened by her demise and the immense void left in our lives, we take solace in the belief that she is safe in the Lord’s arms and are thankful for the invaluable gift of the time we were privileged to share with her and for the profound impact she had on all who knew her

Beryl’s body was transferred to Lee Funeral Home, “Where the remains of our dear sister, Beryl Achieng Odinga, are being preserved. Thank you to the friends and colleagues who have come to commiserate with us during this difficult time.”

The family respectfully requests for privacy and prayers as they make funeral arrangements. Further details will be communicated in due course.
