Musician Bien-Aimé Baraza, has addressed the recent comments and career direction of Nviiri The Storyteller

Speaking on a podcast, Bien said he is concern about Nviiri’s career moves. “I helped build the brand that is Nviiri so I can never be happy to see him fall apart,Bien stated. “I get concerned with the moves he is making because the question of ‘where is Nviiri?’ comes up all the time.

Bien’s comments follow Nviiri’s vocal endorsement of a proposal by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) to prohibit celebrities from advertising alcohol. Nviiri shared a personal revelation about his regret after participating in an alcohol promotion in Kayole, witnessing a community in need of basic necessities. “The day I did a promo for alcohol in Kayole, I was sad to learn that people would prefer food, money, or jobs. It ended up being my last time engaging in such work,” Nviiri confessed.

He further called on fellow artists to reject exploitative marketing and uphold integrity, stating, “Whatever cannot uplift your fellow person, do not deceive them into thinking it’s good!” In his response, Bien urged the public to focus on Nviiri’s music, announcing, “He has new music so guys go look out for Nviiri.

Adding, “His career has been built on alcohol endorsements. Nobody is here to say alcohol should be advertised, but responsible drinking is what is advertised. Anything overdone is bad for you, including drinking milk.
