‘I DRANK DAILY’ KUSH TRACEY TALKS STRUGGLE WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Musician Kush Tracey has shared her journey with substance abuse, detailing a past dependency and a difficult road to sobriety. 

The artiste opened about her addiction to drugs and alcohol “For me, one of the hardest things to accept and admit was actually struggling with substances,” Tracey shared. He described a cycle where intoxication became a condition for social interaction. “I’d literally not engage in sexual immorality unless I was drunk; I needed to be intoxicated.”

“I loved being high. I love the highness. When I’m high, I’m able to socialise. I’m able to just be good vibes, and I’m able to hang around people.” She explained drinking was a daily fixture, not a weekend indulgence. “It was not just about drinking on a Friday. I used to drink from Monday to Monday.”

His dependency escalated to a point of integrating substance use into his professional routine. “I got to a place where I would not drink alone, I’d put vapes in my bag. Then in between a work break, I’d smoke before I go back on air, because I wanted that head rush, that kick.“
