INFLUENCER NAOMI KURIA REVEALS CANNABIS USE COST HER SH600,000 DEAL
Popular social media influencer Naomi Kuria has opened up about the professional cost of her past cannabis use, revealing it led to the termination of a lucrative brand deal.
Speaking candidly in a recent interview with content creator Oga Obinna, Kuria disclosed that her usage made her “extremely lazy and unmotivated,” directly resulting in the loss of a Ksh600,000 contract with a major brand.
“I remember I terminated a very good contract because they told me to redo a campaign video, but I was so lazy,” Kuria recounted. “They were paying me around Sh600,000. I was just lazing around on the couch… If there is something I struggled to quit, it’s weed. So I fear it.”
The influencer explained that after failing to deliver the revised promotional video due to a lack of motivation, the brand ended the agreement. She later regretted the lost opportunity, stating, “After that I was hit with problems, then I remembered that money and called them to say I have changed.”
Kuria also shared that cannabis adversely affected her cognitive abilities, impairing her memory and speech. She would forget common English words and struggle to articulate her thoughts clearly.
