Kenyan musician and businesswoman Esther Akoth, also known as Akothee, has called out fashion designer Fundi Frank over unprofessional conduct, and years of alleged harassment.

Akothee took to her social media platforms to address what she describes as a decade-long grievance involving performance outfits paid for in 2014 but never delivered.

She demanded an immediate refund for the two commissioned performance outfits, claiming that only one item, a Kenyan flag was ever provided.

Fundi Frank, remember to refund my money. I paid you to make two performance outfits for me back in 2014,Akothee wrote. “Maybe you thought I was one of those female lose artists you could make drunk and carry home.”

The singer did not hold back in her assessment of the designer’s character, accusing him of being a “freeloader” who frequents nightclubs without contributing financially. She recounted a specific incident where she covered his bar tab at a Westlands club during a visit by Tanzanian artist AY. “I have photos. You were even carrying my bag. I was already driving a V8; no idea if you even own a car now.”

She claims that despite a previous apology from the designer, he has continued to insult her and her children on various platforms. “You own nothing in your name, not even a home in the village, so what exactly do you know about my family?” the post read. “The last time I warned you, you apologised. Yet here you are again.”

Fundi has yet to issue a formal response to the allegations.
