‘I’M GONNA MISS HER’ DJ KROWBAR SHARES TRIBUTE HONOURING HIS LATE WIFE

DJ Krowbar has paid tribute to his late wife, Joyce Wanjiru, who passed away in the early hours of January 26, 2026.  The deejay opened up on the irreplaceable void her departure has left in his life and the lives of their three children.

Speaking from a place of raw emotion, DJ Krowbar recalled, “The last time I stood here I was hosting service in church, my wife was seated right at the corner smiling at me. Now she is not there… I’m gonna miss this girl.” 

He shared a memory from a video taken in Cape Town shortly after their anniversary, where Joyce, filming him, spoke a prophetic word of encouragement during a difficult period. “She was telling me I was going to graduate and that education will change lives,” he recounted.

Wanjiru had faced a challenging health journey. After undergoing a kidney transplant last year, she encountered a medical challenges. Although a serious infection late last year was successfully managed, she faced further complications in recent weeks. After a brief return home two weeks prior, she was re-admitted for medical care before her passing.

She is survived by her husband, DJ Krowbar, and their three children: Toria, Riri, and Imani.
