NICKI BIGFISH FALLS VICTIM TO CURRENCY SCAM AT BUSIA BORDER

Prankster Nicki Bigfish has been left stranded and out of pocket after falling victim to a sophisticated currency exchange scam at the Busia border crossing

The Youtuber took to social media to reveal that he was conned by money changers who handed him counterfeit currency, leaving him with worthless paper and no funds for his stay in Kampala.

According to Nicki, the incident occurred during a routine currency exchange at the border. He explained that the fraudsters used a classic sleight-of-hand technique to deceive him. “To say the truth today the money changers at Busia border got me at the border,” Nicki Bigfish stated. “The money on top is real but the rest is fake, then they keep you in stories so you don’t realise what they are doing.”

He explained that the scammers showed him genuine notes initially to gain his trust, but after a series of distractions and conversations, they swapped the stack, leaving him with a bundle consisting mainly of counterfeit bills. It was only upon his arrival in Kampala that he discovered the deception. “What I am going to do? I have no money to use right now; I changed all the money,” a distressed Bigfish added.

The incident has sent shockwaves through his fan base and serves as a stark warning to other travellers and citizens conducting currency exchanges at border points.
