Digital creator Murugi Munyi is contemplating the next step in her physical transformation journey, revealing she is in discussions with her doctor about undergoing a tummy tuck and an arm lift to address loose skin resulting from her weight loss.

The mother of three shared that while she is happy with her progress, the effects of losing a substantial amount of weight combined with a previous surgical procedure have left her with excess skin she is now considering removing.

Because of weight loss and lipo, I have quite a bit of loose skin on my tummy,” Munyi disclosed. “I am considering a tummy tuck and an arm lift, but maybe not this year, or maybe this year, I don’t know. I have been chatting with my doc but we are still assessing.”

This latest consideration follows her liposuction surgery in February 2022 a decision she made as a birthday present to herself after struggling to shed stubborn fat through traditional methods.

At the time, Munyi opened up about the frustration that led her to go under the knife. After welcoming her last child, the content creator’s weight had climbed to 120KGs. She embarked on a fitness and diet regimen for over a year, successfully dropping 30KGs to reach 90KGs.

Despite the milestone, Munyi discovered that some changes were irreversible. Certain parts of her body refused to respond to her efforts, leading to discouragement.

I went to the gym and on diet for over a year and I dropped to 90kgs. I started noticing there are some parts of the body that will never be the same,” she explained in an interview shortly after her initial surgery. “It started to make me discouraged. I decided to go for the liposuction because I had the money and as my birthday gift.”

That procedure, which cost her just under Sh600,000, was a investment in her self-image one she proudly funded through her own earnings. “I was like let me treat myself; you work for it or pay for it. That is money that has come out of me earning,” she said, noting that she found the facility to be more affordable compared to others in Kenya.
