PINKY GHELANI OPENS UP ABOUT FOUR MISCARRIAGES

Kenyan media personality Pinky Ghelani has bravely shared her journey of losing four pregnancies, revealing the pressure she faced to remain silent about her experiences.

Speaking in an interview, Ghelani disclosed that she endured four miscarriages, describing the pain as “grief of a different kind.” Despite being advised by those around her to keep quiet, she chose to speak out, recognising the importance of acknowledging her loss.

“When I went through my miscarriages, everybody told me don’t talk about it, don’t talk about failure, don’t talk about the fact that you’ve had miscarriages,” Ghelani shared.  “But when I was going through it, I was suffering. It’s grief, it’s grief of a different kind, and I thought it can’t be right just to keep quiet about it.”

The mother oftwo living children shared her identity to honour the babies she lost, stating, “I’m a mom of six. I had four miscarriages, so I can still call myself a mom of six, because I have four babies in heaven.“
