SAMMY KIOKO HOSPITALISED AFTER ALLEGED ASSAULT OUTSIDE MACHAKOS COUNTY OFFICES

Comedian Sammy Kioko has been admitted at a Nairobi Hospital following an alleged assault outside the Machakos County offices. 

The incident occurred during a protest over an outstanding Ksh19 million claim owed to the entertainer. Kioko was reportedly attacked by county askaris during the demonstration. Fellow comedian and influencer Tom Daktari shared a photo of Kioko from his hospital bed, confirming the situation.

In a statement, comedian Nasra Yusuff condemned the incident, saying: “Sammy Kioko has been beaten up by county askaris and arrested! This is the highest level of impunity shown to people demanding for their payment! They have also arrested Tom Daktari! This is very wrong!”

Entertainer Dr. Ofweneke also weighed in, stating, “We can no longer ignore what’s happening to SAMMIE KIOKO!! Gov. Wavinya Ndeti, a great leader is remembered not from his/her ego but from the actions from his/her heart. History will remember this and if not thru you but your generations.“

The entertainment community and supporters are calling for immediate action and accountability from the Machakos County government.
