BURNA BOY BAGS SECOND GRAMMY NOMINATION

The nominees of 63rd annual Grammy Awards, were announced Tuesday by The Recording Academy.

Beyoncé leads the pack this year with nine nominations, followed by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift, all tied at six nods. Brittany Howard follows with five nominations, with Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, DaBaby, Phoebe Bridgers, Justin Bieber, John Beasley and David Frost all tied with four nods.

Nigerian musician Burna Boy was nominated for Best Global Music Category alongside Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tianariwen.

Last year, Burna nominated in the Best World Music category but Beninese legendary musician Angelique Kidjo, won the award.

The award ceremony will be held on January 31, 2021 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
