While congratulating them, Dr Mutua took to twitter in jest and promised to learn sheng’ “While I support the public’s right to choose and vote, it was my understanding that by sponsoring this Awards, KFCB’s clean content mandate would be upheld.” Dr Mutua added that he has nothing personal against the new school rap group but is against people sanitizing vulgarity.
He however later clarified that he has no war with any artiste but only wants to see clean content for the sake of the future generation. “The false narrative that content has to be dirty to sell must be debunked through initiatives like @kisimamusicfilm that recognise clean music and film. #KFCBatKisimaAwards2020.”
