CINDY SANYU CALLS NIGERIAN MUSICIAN OMAH LAY AN IDIOT FOR POSTING HIS CONCERT ONLINE HOURS BEFORE HE WAS ARRESTED IN UGANDA

But musician Cindy Sanyu called the Nigerian singer an idiot for flouting covid-19 rules while Ugandan artistes respected the lockdown, “In all our silence, a foreigner had a concert in this country and filled up a concert where there was no social distancing, there were no masks and this idiot even posted it online.

He was very proud about the fact that he had a successful concert in Uganda. I don’t agree with this. It’s not fair, it is not right by any standards that you look at it. It was a concert and it happened during the lockdown while artistes here are starving.”

On Monday, three Nigerian artistes were arrested and charged with negligently and doing acts likely to spread infectious diseases in Uganda. “The Nigerian trio of Stanley Omah Didia alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi alias Tems and Muyiwa Awomiyi have been charged to court in Makindye on charges of Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act,” Uganda Police Force posted on Twitter.
