INSIDE NAOMI CAMPBELL’S VILLA IN MALINDI, KENYA

Naomi Campbell gave a full tour of her luxurious villa in Malindi, Kenya to Architectural Digest.  The British supermodel has been living in the residence for over 20 years and called it a perfect getaway.

“I came to Malindi for the first time in 1994 and fell in love with it in 1999. People have such a wrong perception of Africa but it’s a beautiful place.  This is my go-to place of chilling, relaxing and completely shutting down.

Kenya is a natural gem, it has the Safari, the bush, the coast, the dune all the elements. And people don’t realise that, I love the Atlantic but the Indian Ocean is better.”

Talking about why she came to Kenya she said, “The first time I heard about Kenya was from my aunty June, the second time was from Lauren Hutton who always said to me when she would go to Kenya she would come back with a real smile.

The first time I told her I was going to Kenya, she told me to look at a smile when go come back, I was going to have a real one and I understood what she was saying. She was 100 percent right.”
