ERIC OMONDI FIRES BACK AT KFCB BOSS EZEKIEL MUTUA AFTER CALLING HIM BROKE AND A BEGGAR

Popular Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi clapped back at Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua after calling him broke and a beggar. 

In an interview, the KFCB boss took a jab at Omondi for contributing Sh200,000 to musician Bahati after KFCB cancelled their donation. “Eric didn’t make any donation. He is broke. Those were sideshows and showing off. They do those sideshows to humiliate the government but they don’t have money that they claim they have. All these people don’t have money, they are beggars.

Why didn’t he gift Bahati the money before we made our offer? Omondi is broke he doesn’t even have Sh10,000 to give to people. He is broke and such things are the because of their depression. We talk to them and we know them and we know who is making money,” said Mutua. 

In retaliation, the comedian called out Mutua, stating that he makes money through his talent, while he (Mutua) makes money through misappropriating public funds through his office. “Enough is enough! We have to stop this nonsense! All the money I make is through blood and sweat, most of the money you make is through misappropriation of public funds. If I’m broke as you claim, then you are a thief, stealing public funds,” wrote Eric.   

He also called out Mutua for failing to a honour promise he made to comedian Mulamwah following his move to quit comedy due to cyber bullying. “You promised Mulamwah only to withdraw at the last minute, then you did the same with Bahati only to let him down on the day of his event I had to come through for him like a true brother, but you are a pathological liar Daktari,” he added. 

Eric and Mutua have been on loggerheads since the KFCB boss stopped the production of the comedian’s reality show, Wife Material season 2. Also, Mutua orchestrated the arrest of the comedian over the show.
