VANESSA MDEE DISMISSES PREGNANCY RUMOURS

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee has dismissed claims that she is pregnant for Nigerian-American singer Rotimi. On Sunday, July 18, Mdee shared a photo of herself on her Instagram page to which fellow musician Aika of Navy Kenzo commented, ‘issa baby boy‘ sparking pregnancy rumours. 

However, the singer later shared a video dismissing the rumours, noting that it bothers her mother. “I don’t have a baby y’all. You’re freaking my mum out. She is in Arusha and you’re bothering her with claims that I have given birth,” she said. 

Vanessa got engaged to Rotimi in December two months after kicking off their relationship. In a video widely shares on social media, the singer could be seen overwhelmed by emotions when Rotimi went down on one knee asked for her hand in marriage.

“She said Yes. You are my everything. My angel. In 2015 I prayed that whoever my wife was going to be and wherever she was at the moment I hoped that she was happy, having a good day and receiving GOD’S abundance. Fast forward… you make me such a better man. I’m in debt to God for you. I will pay him back by loving you and giving you everything that you deserve,” wrote Rotimi. 

The couple started dating in October 2020 after Vanessa was first spotted with Rotimi in Miami. Mdee then moved to Atlanta to stay with Rotimi months before announcing that she is taking a break from music, further terming the music industry as demonic.  

The couple also got matching tattoos of each other’s names which they flaunted during an Instagram live session. “Here we go, you love it? Here is his name, and we have a baby lion with it right there,” said Vanessa. While Rotimi wrote; “Guys so I got a new tattoo. Let me show you real quick. So we got Jesus and his shepherds. And then we got stairs leading to heaven. There’s an eagle and some clouds and I still got my lion, remember? So we got Jesus and the stairs, eagle and all. You like it? Y’all rock with it? I got a name here that is kind of lit too.”
