TOP KENYAN FASHION DESIGNER AFROSTREET KOLLEKTIONS SHOWCASES AT DESIGN FASHION AFRICA

Top Kenyan fashion designer Yvonne Odhiambo of Afrostreet Kollektions showcased her latest collection in Nigeria at the Design Fashion Africa showcase. Her pieces paid homage to Kenya by infusing the Maasai Shuka with modern aesthetics to bring out her unique approach of designing lively and colourful designs which has earned her a massive following including notable personalities who have recognised her for celebrating the Maasai culture.

Speaking to Buzz Central about the show, she said, “I wanted to experience a different platform away from home and rejuvenate my mind as a designer. My latest collection pays homage to my country and show the world what Kenya has to offer as far as fashion is concerned.”

Theme Creative Cultures, top designers from Africa came together to showcase different creative African fashion. Fashion lovers were thrilled by the display of style on the runway and music with performances from amazing Nigerian artistes live at the event such as Patoranking, Aramide,  Crayon, Tclassic, Ric Hassani, Ycee, Dapo Turbuna, Reekado Banks and others.
