JOVIAL REVEALS WHY SHE LEFT OTILE BROWN’S RECORD LABEL 

Musician Jovial disclosed the genesis of her relationship with her former boss and fellow musician Otile Brown. The musician said Otile approached her after watching her song online, further crediting him for building her brand. “I know Otile Brown from way back. He watched my song, he texted me and told me he liked the song and when he came to Mombasa for a show we met for the first time. He has played a role in bringing up my brand as much as I was around,” said Jovial. 

She also spoke on leaving Otile Brown’s record label, saying it was not personal, “He had signed me after making a proposal that he wanted to sign me, we agreed but we had some few challenges on signing. We did not have any personal issues with each other. I left in peace. Just because you don’t work with someone it doesn’t mean you don’t see eye to eye, it’s just speculation,” she said.  

She also explained the drama surrounding a car she was reportedly given after being signed under Otile Brown’s record label. “By the time I was given the car I didn’t know how to drive and my main focus at the time was about creating content, making music and promoting my brand so I was not focused on having the car,” she clarified
