‘IN ONE MONTH I HAD LOST OVER 10KGS’ ACTRESS BRENDA MWAI SPEAKS ABOUT BATTLING HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM

Crime and Justice actress Brenda Mwai has opened up about her own difficult experiences with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness that she battled while pregnant with her now 2 year old daughter.

Brenda took to her socials and posted, “In my first trimester, the sickness was insane, I had some form of hyperemesis gravida, I guess it’s hereditary as my mum had severe morning sickness. In one month I had lost over 10kgs. All gains gone! My bum chicks were literally sagging from the drastic loss of weight. Here I was one and a half postpartum. Gaining some weight back. This is the last time I saw my abs anyway, what our bodies can do. I praise the most high! Looking like Victoria super model  whilst still healing mentally, physically and breast-feeding marathons weeh!”

Mwai also recalled shooting Ma’Empress TV series all through her pregnancy, “My baby turned 27 months yesterday, I remember this day vividly. My baby came early but healthy. I was shooting all through my pregnancy but managed successful. Thank you @philittv for being so understanding. This day, I was truly happy. Grateful. God chose me to be a mother. The one job I have done so well. That’s been the toughest journey but most fulfilling. I have been a stay at home mom all through. Seeing EJ grow has been my greatest joy. I praise the most high! Happy 27 months my baby.”
