STIVO SIMPLE BOY EXPOSES MADE IN KIBERA AFTER MOVING TO A NEW RECORD LABEL
After some time of sustained silence, Stephen Otieno Adera, alias Stivo Simple Boy, has explained the reason why he had disappeared from the entertainment scene.
In a YouTube video, Stivo, who was in the company of brother Fred Adera and new manager Vaggah, confessed that he had problems with his former management, Made in Kibera, and he is now reverberating his music career after being signed up under new record label, Men in Business (MIB).
“My fans, thanks for your support. You’ve been with me on this journey since I released my first song. God bless you, Stivo Simple Boy is back. I did not quit music. I had challenges with my former management, but now I am under MIB, and I am going to release a new music video within a few days,” he said.
He said he decided to depart from Made in Kibera because of financial matters that had crippled his personal progress as an artist. He says he felt that he was being duped by the people supposed to oversee his growth in the music industry. “As a brother and his family, we compared his name on the internet and his income, but they were not matching. We went to Made in Kibera’s offices to find out, but it was not a success. Stivo left Made in Kibera because his stay was not benefiting him. It’s useless to work hard as an artist, benefit the listeners but fail to get something useful out of your work,” Fred said.
He added that Stivo chose to work with MIB because they are visionaries. Stivo has signed a two-year renewable contract with the Kayole based label. He currently has new social media handles after his past management denied him access to original accounts.
