FOOTBALL LEGEND SAMUEL ETO’O AND FAMILY VACATION IN MALINDI

By  |

Veteran Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto’o has been on a Safari to Kenya, where he visited some of the stunning scenery and intriguing tourist attraction sites along the coast.

The 41-year-old President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) took to Instagram to share a cute family photo of them leaving Malindi, one of the major tourist destinations in the seaside famed for historical ruins such as Gedi National Monument and Vasco da Gama Pillar. “Merci Malindi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #familylove ❤️❤️❤️❤️” he posted

Eto’o is a critically acclaimed footballer who bagged multiple awards in his career when he played for English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea, Everton, La Liga’s Real Madrid, and Barcelona, to mention a few. He also played for Inter Milan as a striker alongside Kenya’s McDonald Mariga, and in his time as a player, he was named African Player of the Year a record four times.

He is not the only major personality who has visited Kenya. In January last year, American songwriter Madonna toured Kenya in the company of her boyfriend, Ahlamalik Williams. The duo had a taste of the varied cultures in the East African country as they shared fun moments with Pokot in the Baringo Valley and the Samburu. “Spending time with the Samburu tribe is always an honor. They are nomadic warriors, and here the men are singing, dancing, and telling stories to attract the attention of the females.” She wrote.

Additionally, celebrated supermodel Naomi Campbell has been to Kenya and even owns a villa in Malindi, where she spends her time away from her busy schedule. The spotlight dame, who has appeared as cover girl in international magazines; Elle, British Vogue, and Russian Vogue, was unveiled as Magical Kenya’s brand representative to raise awareness of Kenya’s vast tourism attractions by Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala in 2021.

Naomi Campbell will be Magical Kenya’s International Tourism Ambassador. That doesn’t take away from our domestic market. It only strengthens it.” Balala tweeted. Kenya is ranked among the top tourist destinations in Africa, with a record of over a million visitors each year.
