ACTOR ISAYA EVANS ON WINNING SH500,000 AND DATING

Actor and producer Isaya Evans has opened up about winning Sh500,000 at Machakos Film Festival. 

Speaking to Buzz Central, Isaya said he divided the money among the cast and crew, “By the way we were paid the money in less than a week but the previous winners had complained they were not paid. When I called people like Wilbroda, Ainea Ojiambo, Blessing Lung’aho and Jackie Matubia to work on the project, they all did it for free. The budget was more than Sh1 million.

When I won the money I kept my end of the bargain and I decided it equally among the cast and the crew. Some guys had problems but I told them if I was to share it according to roles the guys played. The crew would have gotten the most share.”

Though producing was tough he is open to shooting more films, “Guys were supportive but producing is hard, leadership is not easy. There is a lot of pressure but I will do it again. I think I live for the drama.”

Isaya also revealed he is in a long term relationship, “I have a girlfriend, she is really supportive and a kind person. She inspires me because she is very different from me, the way I see her doing her things I want her in my life. She is someone I know who will be there for me.”
