Sauti Sol lead singer Bien Aime Baraza has urged the government to split the Ministry of Sports and Culture, according to Bien, the two are different things and should not be under one ministry, “The ministry of culture needs its own office. Sports and culture are two different things. All nations that take themselves seriously have a ministry of culture. Give these two dockets the same energy.”
His post comes hours after President William Ruto named Ababu Namwamba as the Minister for Youth Affairs, “I have nominated a new team to serve in the Cabinet and subject to the approval of the National Assembly, shall in due course appoint them to take charge of various ministries and implement the agenda of national transformation.
