‘MY PREGNANCY WAS EASY’ LILIAN NG’ANG’A TALKS MOTHERHOOD

By  |

The former Machakos first lady, Lilian Ng’ang’a has opened up about her motherhood experience.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen Digital, Lilian termed her pregnancy journey easy, “I used to be scared, randomly you have thoughts about getting pregnant and of course you wonder how it’s going to be but when I found out I was pregnant, it was very easy. I never had any morning sickness. The only issue I had was like loss of breath when going up the stairs. I think it was because of the oxygen consumption but it was a very easy pregnancy.”

Physical, she didn’t undergo any major changes, “I was able to work out and remain active till the very end. The only thing that changed was the big stomach but physically nothing else.”

She said her son had made motherhood easy by being a calm baby, “I have a very calm baby, it’s been good. Those horror stories you hear that you’re not gonna sleep for the next three months because I remember when I got the baby the doctor told me congrats you’re now a mom because the baby cried, he said zoea hiyo cry for the next three months because you wont sleep and I was like okay we will see how it goes but I have a calm baby as long as he’s fed, clean and he is happy.”

Lilian also explained the meaning of her son’s name, “Utheri means light in Kikuyu and I want my boy to be the light of the world. Sometimes there is a lot of darkness in the world so I want when he enters a room it lights up.” She hoped it would be so.
