CATHERINE KASAVULI ON IMPORTANT LESSONS SHE HAS LEARNED

Veteran TV anchor, Catherine Kasavuli has shared a list of lessons she has learned over the past few months. Taking to her Instagram, Kasavuli highlighted the importance of having family and friends.

1. Your family is all you got at the end of the day, make peace with them, try to be in good books with them. Even if you feel otherwise.
2. Always depend on your higher power, pray for as much as you can, at least while you have the strength.
3. If you have at least 2 friends or colleagues you can always count on, appreciate them. They’re very rare.
4. Don’t lose hope, keep on believing, hope courageously.
5. Love your body, treasure it.
6. Finally always do good, it will always come back to you, eventually. 

She added, “Thank you, good people. I love you all. To those who have been asking for a Paybill, my family is working on that, meanwhile get in touch on my DM will respond with the family number (Elder brother) currently used. #WeShallFightThis #CancerWarrior #ThisTooShallPass.”

On November 9, Kasavuli spoke for the first time about her recent health battle with cervical cancer. In a lengthy post, she said the journey has not been easy, “Last one month has really been crazy for me, I want to take this moment and appreciate my family, colleagues in the media industry, Catherine Kasavuli Foundation team, my doctors, friends, strangers, online community; I wish I could respond to all your messages, I see them and I’m really humbled. May God remember you.

To special people that have come forth to donate blood may God bless you, may he enrich your beautiful souls, may He meet with the desires of your heart. To special souls that are contributing towards my medical bill, I love you so much and God bless you. It’s not an easy journey but I believe in God’s faithfulness and breakthrough. To anyone fighting the same struggle – I love you, we shall overcome, life is a beautiful thing and we shall live to tell our stories. God bless you.”
