ROBERT ALAI DEFENDS CHARLENE RUTO’S SMOKIE HUSTLE
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has defended Charlene Ruto’s smokie hustle story.
Charlene was under fire for claiming she sold smokie while in Daystar University, “Charlene Ruto has her story. I don’t trust her dad but I trust that she has her unique story. I gladly give her benefit of doubt. She is perfectly OK to narrate her story,” said Alai.
In a viral video, President William Ruto’s daughter claimed she sold ‘smokies’ to sustain herself, “I was in Daystar University, and smokie kachumbari was the only thing that was selling, I was encouraged to take up the small business,” she said.
Charlene graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Daystar University in 2015. At the time, Ruto was serving as Deputy President of Kenya in their first term with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
