FORMER MISS UNIVERSE RACHEL MBUKI ANNOUNCES DIVORCE FROM HUSBAND DMITRY LITVISHKOVA

Former Miss Universe Kenya Rachel Marete Mbuki has revealed she is going through a divorce from husband Dmitry Litvishkova

She revealed the split in an Instagram post on March 17,  “It is with much regret that I announce that my husband and I have come to the tough decision to end our marriage. We are currently separated, and I am filing for divorce. Marriage can be tough, and this situation  is extremely trying for both of us. This is the part where people usually ask for privacy, but I know that being discussed is inevitable. What I would like to ask for your kindness and consideration while we work through this tough time.”

Mbuki also thanked her close friends and family for their support, “Thank you so much to all my friends, family and fans that have been avid supporters of outs from the past 15 years that we have been together. I know this comes as a shock to you all because you were too invested in us as well, but I hope we can continue to count on your love and support as we transition to this new phase.” she wrote.

On October 22 2020, Rachel and Dmitry tied the knot in Hawaii, “Yesterday I married the love of my life in a traditional Hawaiian ceremony on a beautiful Maui beach. You’re my person, forever,” said Mbuki.

The couple got engaged in June 2017 in Mombasa after nine years of dating, “oh my gosh! it happened! he asked and I said yes! I’m officially engaged. We were on vacation in Diani Beach at The Sands at Nomad. It’s his first time in Kenya. I had no idea. We were just strolling along the beach on our way to another restaurant close by. It was only us on the long stretched white beach and suddenly he told me how much he loved me, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”
