‘I’M NOT READY TO SETTLE DOWN’ AUNTIE JEMIMAH ON CO-PARENTING

By  |

Radio presenter and digital creator Auntie Jemimah says she is not ready to settle down.

Speaking on Point of View Podcast with Cate Rira, she disclosed she is co-parenting with the father of her daughter, “I am not married, I always say I am not ready. The father of the child can see her when he wants. We had a child and we are friends. You have to be honest about what you want, I did not want a defined relationship and I don’t want to get married now.

The mother of one also said she is okay with staying single, “Its not fear and marriage is not a requirement. There are a few thing I need to do before I decide if I want it or not. If I don’t get married I will be okay, I like being open even with the people I meet, I tell them, ‘if you are looking for a marriage partner, I am not ready to get married yet.’

Auntie Jemimah further stated the longest a man can stay in her house is three to four days, “I want my freedom to do things my way like stay where I want to stay and make decisions without being stopped. I believe when you get married as a woman and there are some things you have not achieved it will slow you down. Having gone through a lot in previous relationships I don’t think that’s the path I want to take right now. The longest that I can stay with a man in my house is four days after that I feel like you need to leave.”
