DJ xclusive has blasted musician Bahati over his sentiments on the state of Kenyan music.

He should be the last person to talk, he should wear wigs and go dance with Diana but don’t come and talk about music. Even the music he has been releasing, the clout is more popular than the songs he has released. When was the last time we had a heat from Bahati? Shut up!” Said DJ xclusive.

On July 23, Bahati took to social media to rant after Boomplay put out a list of top 10 best songs in Kenya and Tanzanian musicians dominated the list. “This is the time for Kenyan musicians to stop thinking you can make it alone and simply come together… no solo Kenyan artist can take our sound global on their own that’s a fact. We need to work together as a team or else we will keep curtain-raising for our neighbours. Look at what they’re doing, they’re coming together and through their unity, they’re taking over home and away!” Bahati said.
